MATS শেষে উচ্চ শিক্ষার সুযোগ

গৌরবের ৫ বছরে সাভারের গণ বিশ্ববিদ্যালয়ের প্রাণরসায়ন ও অনুপ্রাণ বিজ্ঞান বিভাগ। ২০১৫ সালে বাংলাদেশ বিশ্ববিদ্যালয় মঞ্জুরি কমিশনের (ইউজিসি) অনুমোদনে মাত্র ১৫জন শিক্ষার্থী নিয়ে এই বিভাগ যাত্রা শুরু করে।
বর্তমানে ৮টি ব্যাচে ১৯৬ জন শিক্ষার্থী রয়েছে এই বিভাগে। ইতোমধ্যে ২টি ব্যাচ স্নাতক ডিগ্রী সম্পন্ন করে বিভিন্ন সরকারি ও বেসরকারি প্রতিষ্ঠানে চাকরি করছেন। আশার কথা; এই বিভাগ থেকে পাস করে কেউই বেকার নেই।
এই বিভাগের শিক্ষার্থীদের জন্য রয়েছে গবেষণার সুযোগ। বর্তমানে এই বিভাগের শিক্ষকদের সরাসরি তত্ত্বাবধানে ৬টি প্রজেক্টে গবেষণার কাজ চলছে৷ গত বছরে দশের অধিক গবেষণা প্রবন্ধ বিভিন্ন আন্তর্জাতিক জার্নালে প্রকাশিত হয়েছে এখানকার শিক্ষাদাতাদের।
মেধাবী ছাত্রছাত্রীরা স্নাতক শেষ করে পেতে পারেন বিদেশে উচ্চ শিক্ষার সুযোগ। এই বিভাগের প্রভাষক জাকিয়া আক্তার ও সহকারী প্রভাষক জাহানারা আক্তার সোনিয়া ২০২০ সালে অ্যামেরিকায় পিএইচডি স্কলারশিপ পেয়েছেন। এ প্রসঙ্গে জাকিয়া আক্তার জানান, শুরু থেকেই বিভাগ আমাকে সব ধরনের সহযোগিতা করেছে। তিনি আরো জানান- তার দুইটি রিকমেন্ডেশন লেটার এর একটি প্রদান করেন বিভাগীয় প্রধান ড. ফুয়াদ হোসেন।
এই বিভাগের শিক্ষার্থীদের জন্য রয়েছে চাকরির সুযোগ। মূলতঃ ফার্মাসিউটিক্যালস ইন্ডাস্ট্রি, ফুড এন্ড বেভারেজ কোম্পানি, ডায়াগনস্টিক সেন্টার, গবেষণা প্রতিষ্ঠান (বিএসটিআই, বিসিএসআইআর, পরমানু শক্তি কমিশন, পিসিআর ল্যাব, ফরেনসিক ল্যাব, কৃষি গবেষণাসহ সরকারি চাকরির সুযোগ)। ড. ফুয়াদ হোসেন জানান, এখন পর্যন্ত ২টি ব্যাচের স্নাতক শেষ হয়েছে৷ এদের মধ্যে কেউ বিভিন্ন প্রতিষ্ঠানে (ডায়াগনস্টিক, ফার্মাসিউটিক্যালস, গবেষণা প্রতিষ্ঠান) চাকরি করছেন, পাশাপাশি কেউ কেউ উচ্চশিক্ষার প্রস্তুতি নিচ্ছেন।
গোটা দেশে হাতেগোনা কয়েকটি বেসরকারি বিশ্ববিদ্যালয়ে প্রাণরসায়ন বিভাগ চালু রয়েছে। কিন্তু তা গরীব শিক্ষার্থীদের জন্য অত্যন্ত ব্যয়বহুল। তবে গবির প্রাণরসায়ন বিভাগ ভিন্ন। এখানে ৪ বছরে ২ লক্ষ ২৫ হাজার টাকায় একজন শিক্ষার্থী স্নাতক ডিগ্রী অর্জন করতে পারেন৷ কাঙ্খিত ফলাফল ও উপস্থিতির ভিত্তিতে ৭৫ শতাংশ পর্যন্ত শিক্ষাবৃত্তি পেয়ে থাকেন শিক্ষার্থীরা। এতে দেড় লাখ টাকারও কম খরচে পড়তে পারেন ছাত্রছাত্রীরা।
গবির প্রাণরসায়ন ও অনুপ্রাণ বিজ্ঞান বিভাগের ১১তম ব্যাচের ভর্তি চলছে৷ চাইলে আপনিও ভর্তি হয়ে সুন্দর দেশ ও নিজের ভবিষ্যৎ গড়ুন।
